The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) has petitioned the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for an alternate name for high fructose corn syrup. In this petition, CRA is asking that food and beverage manufacturers be given the option of using “Corn Sugar” as an alternate ingredient name for high fructose corn syrup on product labels. CRA would like to introduce “Corn Sugar” to you, valued partners of the corn refining industry, and share with you what this alternate ingredient name
will mean for the beverage industry.
