Patricia Hanes, Southeast Regional Director, Minority Business Development Agency

Patricia Hanes, will discuss the business case for supplier diversity at your organizations.  In this session, you will learn:

  • Why supplier diversity should be part of your competitive advantage - from technology companies to legal firms and even janitorial services, minority-owned firms provide all types of goods and services that your company procures.  You should seek opportunities to do business with a diverse range of companies, expanding your opportunities to attract diverse thought and innovation, adding to your bottom line.
  • Supplier Diversity isn't just the right thing to do, it's good for your company's bottom line - we live in a multi-cultural world and your supplier base should represent your customer base.  By 2050, the U.S. Census Bureau predicts the country will be majority minority - which means your customer base will be majority minority.  Doing business with minority-owned firms is doing business with your customer base.
